‘Tis the Season for Giving
For many, the holidays represent joy, family, and the exchanging of gifts, but for others, the holidays can be a time of stress and uncertainty. The holidays are a time for receiving but more importantly, for giving, which is why MICI makes it a top priority to give back to the community throughout the year, especially during the holidays.
Giving Back
Corporate social responsibility, or CSR, is a practice that entails getting involved with local and national initiatives that benefit both society and the environment. MICI takes CSR seriously by making it a point to use products that are environmentally friendly as well as taking part in programs and charities that support and aid the community.
MICI participates annually with Toys for Tots which is a non-profit organization that focuses on fundraising and toy donations for underprivileged children. This year, MICI collected 183 toys and donated $2500 for this wonderful cause. These donations benefit the community by bringing smiles and hope to children who otherwise may not have had gifts, and by relieving some of the burden disadvantaged family’s face during the holiday season.
